A Relationship-Centered Coaching Partnership
A professional life coach is someone who is trained and skilled at being present with their clients to help explore their areas of growth, concern, or challenges. This exploration leads to deeper insights and awareness resulting in actions and new growth. I commit to being an ethically competent and skilled coach for you.
I am certified as a life and executive coach through Symbiosis Coaching. I am currently working towards my International Coaching Federation (ICF) Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.
Coaching leads to improvements in thinking. You will find you think deeper than we often can without our thoughts being heard, challenged, and mirrored or reflected for us to see and learn from. At P2CC, we celebrate an even 1% advance in growth from coaching sessions.
Coaching is not therapy or hiring a consultant with solutions to problems. Those I coach will experience a deeper level of thought and enlightenment leading to goal setting and higher levels of personal and professional achievements.
Each coaching session is an independent event within an agreed upon number of coaching sessions. Time frames are determined by you and me as your coach. You will define the topic for any coaching session, and the best coaches are trained to ensure (International Coaching Federation – ICF) ethical principles are understood and followed and confidentiality is assured. Simply, I as your coach, commit to following the ICF principles and being present 100% with you.
Coaching is not therapy, consulting, instructing, or any other discipline where results are dependent on answers emanating from the coach. In coaching, it is all about the person being coached. There is no right answer or treatment plans based on the coach being an expert in another persons life. Coaching assumes the person is “whole” and able to function in the present as they work towards their identified and stated goals. As your coach, I will challenge, be curious, enquire, and provide follow-up as agreed upon in advance.
There are times when a coach may recognize there are areas where a counselor referral may be of benefit. Coaches routinely will recommend a referral if therapy is indicated, but will always be at the discretion of the person being coached.
A professional life coach is about being an expert in listening, intuition, curiosity, exploring, questioning, challenging, and validating to the extent where a 1% growth is celebrated. Growth happens toward the edge of our comfort zones.
Why coaching works is more about how a person can vet desires, challenges, ideas, aspirations, conflicts, fears, roles, or any issues within themselves with the help of another to grow towards their best-self.
I look forward to working with you as you pursue your best-self through coaching.
